Over in no time...

Went to ECP with the kids....tiring but fun. A bit of sun, sand and the sea.

3rd week of December...

Time really passes by fast when you're having fun. Oh well...been spending $$$ like nobody's business.

Just bought another pair of Gel Nimbus 10 (copper) yesterday.
If I was a millionaire....my god, I don't know how many gazillion shoes I would have bought. From running to trekking to sneakers to smart to casual and the list goes on and on.

My mom, dad and my niece at my sis-in-law's wedding dinner @ NSHomeTeam Club.

Gonna go check out other stuff. Laterz...

$200 + Taiwan...

Yup....
Got my silver = $200.

Went to Taiwan a few days ago....5 days 4 nights.
It was sweet. Of course it was just the 2 of us. Weather was great...16 degress to 21 degrees. Cool.....
We stayed at Ximending area. visited a couple of places.
The only setback was food. It is so damn difficult to find halal food. Thank god we have this Tour of Taiwan brochure stating where the Muslim food can be located. There's only like 5 restaurants in the whole of Taipei. Like it or not, we had to find our way to these restaurants. Only problem is, the restaurants are so far away from where we stayed.
The MRT line is pretty straight forward, similar to Singapore but we just had to walk for long distances to get from one place to another. We didn't take the bus for fear of not knowing where we might end up.
Even the coffee houses like Starbucks serves pork. So basically, we only have like one meal per day. The rest of the time, we just munch on bread etc.

It was nice. There's like shopping streets everywhere. Pretty similar to Hongkong I suppose. It's just that Taiwanese people are generally more polite than those from HK. That's the experience I got having visited HK last Dec.

Oh well, time to take a nap. Will post some pics....when I have time. haha. Plain lazy...

Sleepy,

O levels is on...

One more week for O levels.....

Camp is over.....students are officially no longer needed in school. Only for CCAs and etc.

Thank god there's a bunch of dedicated ones....who always comes for CCA.
Went for a short run today...5km. HAving a hard time catching up with the young ones. Geeezzz.....shows how unfit I am.

IPPT in less than 2 weeks....14 November 2009.
Yup yup. Hopefully can maintain a silver....$200. Hopefully of course. haha.

The fasting month and Hari Raya didn't help. Just as I was getting back into shape, fell ill...flu and cough. It's been 3 weeks and there's still phlegm in my system. Can't seem to fully get it out.

Then again, I only have myself to blame....Magnum, TimeOut, Haagen Daz....hehe. Lower back also aching all the time. I really need to strengthen my lower back area. It's just so freaking weak.

How I wish I was 15 years younger. In fact 10 or 11 years younger would be good. The fittest time of my life. Half marathon wasn't a problem at all. How to go for the Urbanathlon in January. Really really really need to train for it.

Hopefully the December holiday would be a good time to work on the fitness.

Alright alright....get some work done now. Ciaoz....

PS: Wonder how my "mackels" and "little devils" do for their Os.

Deepavali over...

Last time I wrote, Hari Raya was over.
Now, Deepavali is over.
So is the EOY.

Planning for camp next week. Busy like a bee. So little time so much things to do...sigh.

I need a holiday. My planned trip to Taiwan isn't working.....not yet anyway. EVA air is full....hopefully the Beijing trip will work out. If not, Malaysia, here I come.

I'm feeling so not 100%. Keep on coughing and huge amount of phlegm in the system. I wonder where the phlegm is stored. It seems that I just can't get rid of it.

Keep on blowing my nose, coughing it out but it's just never ending.

Haven't watched movie for a long time either....

The other day I was just thinking....what about? Check this out...

July 2005 - WRS. Joyce was my favorite student. So was Ghani.
What happened to them? Ghani's doing ok....in ITE now. Attached to Evergreen Pri I think. Joyce...no clue. No idea....

Jan 2007 - AISS. I've got my all time favorite little devils (still is my alltime favorite) - Weiwin, Cheryl, Sandi, Feon and of course Eileen. As I saw time and again, they never fail to surprise me and one of the reasons why I can still smile even after a long day at work.

Current - WSS. Favorites? Only a few comes close. Raj, Ramarao, Guhan, Ashwin and Vikram. Yes, they may be a big pain on my @$$, but they are my runners. And good runners I must say. I'll miss them....the 3 who are graduating this year.

Anyway, stages of euphoria........

Hari Raya period

It's Wednesday today. Hari Raya Aidilfitri was just 3 days ago, Sunday.
Didn't do much. Same old story. It just doesn't feel like a festive season this year. Went to Cik Misah's place. It was quiet....very quiet for my own liking. I always thought that Hari Raya was supposed to be all noisy and joyous occasion. It just felt "normal" this year....just like a normal day.

Second half of the day, we went to Cik Sal's place. I still have ONE grandparent left....grandma. Who's like old and frail and no idea what is happening. Dad's mother. She has no idea who I am....can't help it.

I ate and ate and ate. I feel very FAT now. hehe.
I need to work it off.
Monday was a public holiday. We didn't do much. In fact, we did nothing. Just stayed home all day long watching TV. haha. Felt good.
Yesterday, played a bit of soccer....
Now, I'm down with a flu....I feel bad now.
And to think that I have a game this Friday...a mini tournament in fact.

Hopefully can recover in time.

I need plenty and plenty and plenty of fluids....and vitamin C. I should have played and run around just now. It just made me feel worse. Sheeesh....
Damn it....can't find Vitamin C in here. Looks like it's plenty of water for me.

Time-to-rest,

Haven't been up late for like donkey years...

Guess what, I got home like super duper late. After like gazillion years of sleeping in early (due to work) and a change in my lifestyle, I actually could stay up late.

Went to "The Cage" for midnight madness of football. Played there from11pm till 1am (booked the place of course. I went with Ryan (he drove) and played with Charles' friends. Second time we're playing together.

Chill out a bit and then went for makan at D'Rubinah. Had to eat anyway....if not, I'll be like cannot take it for the whole of today. Sleep at 4 plus....got up at 4.45am again for morning makan with my dear. She makan, I just drank water.

5 plus zzzzz again. All the way till 11 plus. Felt like a pig.

Anyway, last night was fun. Relax game of football....but I just don't get it how these fellas who work the next day can actually get up. No way can I like play till 1am if I'm working the next day. I guess my job requires me to be fully attentive and able to concentrate. It's not as if I'm working with machines....it's human being that I'm imparting knowledge and ensuring that they get the best out of me. I guess that's the difference between other jobs and mine...

Oh ya oh ya...I got a new toy...an N97. haha. Still figuring out some things but getting the hang of it.

There's a Nike Human Race Run coming up. Don't know whether want to participate of not. Need to find out more details first. Then get back to tip top condition. Will decide later.

House is in a mess....nedd to relocate certain stuff too.

Hmm....what's for dinner tonight...McDonalds? KFC? Feel like something oily and fattening!!! haha!!!

Ok ok...time to clean the house....again. And then off to do some markings.

Good game on Saturday...

Had a decent game on Saturday. Yes we won comfortably...also cause the opponent wasn't up to standard.

Then yesterday, we went to Geylang to walk around and look for stuff. In the end, splashed some $$$ on other things...namely coffee table, new fan(to replace the one that exploded a couple of weeks ago) and a new set of dining table. Dining chairs actually....I love the chairs.

Anyways, I'm in school now. Clearing some stuff. Oh ya...need to clean the house. Didn't do any vacuuming and mopping over the weekend. Got to do it today....

And maybe cook dinner.

Then, I better make my way home now.....already 3 plus....

UNBELIEVABLE Teacher's Day + ACES Day

It's 31st August 2009 today.
The school was celebrating ACES Day cum Teacher's Day (Teacher's Day is tomorrow actually, 1 Sept 2009).

What happened was, the students had their dose of Yoga for ACES Day, followed by a short Teacher's Day celebration.

I guess I had a good...no, make that GREAT Teacher's Day celebration.

Here's why....

1. My class (3H) gave me a size 1 Arsenal soccer ball. My heart goes out to them. I can't believe they'd do thay for me.
2. My student, Chin Siong of 4H, gave me something too (need to open it up). Still wrapped up.
3. Zi Yin (last year was from my form class 1I), gave me a bear. I'm no longer her FT... and never expected anything. I was touched....very touched.
4. I received heaps of notes from students...extremely touched.
5. Hairuddin gave me a Nike water bottle - to be used after fasting month.

and last but not least.....the highlight of day....

My very dear ex-students, that's right, from AISS, actually came. They literally walked into the staff room to look for me. I was stunned, flabbergasted, astonished, surprised, dumbfounded etc etc etc....I was so very caught off guard.
I mean, I was talking to some ex-students, Vinee, Harwinder etc, when suddenly out of nowhere, Cheryl, Weiwen and Eileen (plus one boy whom I don't recall his name...don't think I taught him), just came up and said "Happy Teacher's Day". They were like the only ones in GREEN skirts. Geeezzzz.....it was truly a Kodak moment. If only someone had taken my picture there and then. I couldn't believe my eyes....who and what in the world was happening.
School ended at 10am for them and they took a cab to see me. We talked for a while. They gave me their cards and we spoke for a while. It was a FANTASTIC surprised.
It's times like this, really times like this, that makes me wonder.... did I make the right choice...of becoming an educator. It's times like this that I know that I made the right choice...
I didn't know how to react.... just ecstatically surprised... if there was such an expression.
Fantabulous......
One thing's for sure, for the next year, maybe five or even ten, if I'm still in this industry, I will never ever have expected such a bigger surprise than this.
This would probably be ranked as the greatest surprise of my life as an educator. I least expected any of them to drop by. An SMS maybe, a phone call maybe...but to drop by and enter the compund to look for me...not in my life. Not in this lifetime.....
Words cannot describe how I felt.....unbelievable...

After they left (if it wasn't fasting month I would have gone for lunch with them), a few of my ex-students who are now in ITE came. We chat for a bit and looks like they're doing fine. I taught them EL last year...4E. I practically see them everyday...

Raj (ex-student) just called too. He's asking if we (my wife and I) wanted to go to Orchard tonight to makan with them. It's at Lucky Plaza....a makan place that belonged to one of my colleagues. Most likely not huh? Gotta check with wife first.

I just hope I have made a good enough impact on the future of our nation.

Now, everytime I'm not sure, or feel bad at work....I'll know what to think of.
The day that 3 of my devils visited me ...Teacher's Day 2009.

O levels oral period is here. Hopefully weiwen did well for her oral.....she better. Especially since she had a short session with me regarding OPEC.

Anyway, it's been a good couple of weeks (especially for ALL ARSENAL fans). ahaha. My team my team my team...GOONERS!!!!

Ya ya.....Ramadhan has started. Played soccer on the first day of Ramadhan (last Saturday 22 August). Almost killed myself. No reserves and was playing with a good team AGAINST a good team. Tired.....dehydrated. You name it.

Work's been hectic (as usual). It'll be great to have a break (one coming up soon).

Anyway, that's it for now......going back home.

It has been a lllooooonnnngggg couple of weeks

Last week, I was like super busy preparing for the teacher's day dinner (which was well done and executed last Friday). I felt that it was well done. Hopefully others felt that way too.

Other than that, prepapring for common test and stuff.
This week, everyone's like busy with the O level oral exams. Thank god I did the N level oral. haha. Met Weiwen to clarify certain things with her with regards to her Oral exam. Hopefully she'll do well next week.

Tomorrow is FIRST day of fasting. Yes....tiring first day. And I have a soccer match at VS at 5pm.。。。。。

What in the world did I press to come out Chinese characters....sheeessshhh...had to log off and log in again. Anyway, rushing to Friday prayers now. Going for makan with my sec 4 boys...owe them a meal as they did well for Athletics last sem....3rd in SAA Road Relay. We beat Hwa Chong. haha!!!

NDP celebrations

National Day long weekend just passed. It was ok.

I managed to get tix for the NDP this time round. Dad won the balloting and he got 4 tix. So I went with darling, mum and my darling niece Ayu. Quite an experience. Tiring but quite an experience. The goody bag's not too bad either.

The 4NT are having their prelim exams now. They said that the paper that I set this morning was HARD. Good for them.

Anyway, haven't played soccer in a while. Wanted to go last Saturday but decided not to, as it was also Chee Tiong's wedding. I went to Civil Service Club, the one at Bukit Batok for the wedding. We had some sort of a gathering....Kek, Ho, Andy, Newky, Haukhai and Jonsen. It was quite nice. We're all doing different things now.

Oh well, everyone's earning HUGE $$$ compared to me, but I still think I get the BEST satisfaction...after all, I am moulding the future of our nation...

Unmotivated students...

I have a bunch of unmotivated students. So unlike last year. I do miss Raj's and Hassan's batch. They are a good bunch of kids.

I guess every batch is different. I hope this will spur me on.

Just came back from North Zone meeting. Better e-mail the rest soon.

I was just reflecting on certain things.
1) How I missed my practicum at AI.
2) How I missed my contract teaching at WRS (not as much as AI)
3) I do miss NIE....a bit (cause it's relaxing)
4) I miss Raj's and Hassan's batch

And of course....I miss the times when I was still a student. I don't think I was that bad. Yes I do slack sometimes....but when it's time to study, I'll pull it off.

Oh well...time to do some work now.

Need-to-motivate,

CCA yesterday...

I had CCA yesterday. First official CCA session since the H1N1 outbreak in Singapore.
Tired? Yes....now also very tired. Going to finish up my marking (still in school now). Taking a break. Planning to hit the gym in a while. Need to beef up the body a bit. My lower back is killing me. Aching ALL the time.

Oh well....see how ya.

School's getting hectic with CCA starting again. Need to get back in the groove.

Went to Agus' place for housewarming on Sat (after the half day course).
Nice place he's got at Sengkang. Met a few of the sec school friends......
Shuzhen, Rong Rong, Weisian, Weiming, Meiping were there. But we were like strangers....I brought my wife along. I couldn't care less about them. I don't know whether I'm still friends with them or not. Sheesshhh....I'm asking myself in fact. haha. I mean.....ah.....like .....I don't know. I bo chup them, and they did likewise. I guess it's because of I never contact them anymore. And I'm still sore for the fact that they didn't turn up for my wedding....and they dare to call themselves my friend. Sheeeshhh....
Went to Campassvale Mall at 6pm (that's when I left Agus' place). Walked around and then went home.

Anyway, back to marking.....

Tired.

Not good news...

Bad news....what's the bad news? Some of my students have found out about my blog. Yes MY blog. Which blog? This very particular blog that I'm writing in.

Time to change the blog address......

Anyway, yesterday was my final day of N Level NT Oral at Sports School. Didn't know that Sports School had NT students. Only 5 candidates but I thought they did well. They even served us with Munchy's Donuts and Evian water...cool.

Ayumi text message me yesterday asking if we could catch up tonight. There's heaps to do tonight so we're catching up next week. Haven't seen her in a while also. She's gonna be here for sometime so it'll be good. Anyway, I think she's staying in Sentosa...that's right...IN SENTOSA. Her bf's got a place there in one of the bays. Loaded....

Gloria.....Viva La Gloria.....

I really need more pics on my blog. Ya...maybe I should take more pics......that's what I'm gonna do....more pics....

I spy with my little eye....

I went to Orchard for dinner with my wife over the weekend. Saturday in fact.
Guess who I met on the train. One of my little devil - Eileen. Of course she wasn't alone. She was with her bf. No wonder the boy looked familiar, like I've seen him somewhere. I spotted him at like Yio Chu Kang station and he was alone then....but he did look familiar. Later on (somewhere at Toa Payoh or Novena) my phone rang. I saw Eileen's number. When I looked up, there she was.

Anyway, I guess Singapore is like really tiny huh.

Sunday - went to Kulai to play soccer. That's right...KULAI. Where is that? In MAlaysia, slightly off Johor Baru. Still within the state of Johor but like an hour plus drive from the immigration checkpoint. Got back home at like 11.45pm. My WHOLE body is still aching from that game. Sheeeessshh.
We lost 2 nil but it was a GOOD field that we played in. Players weren't dirty and I had fun for sure.

Been busy with N level oral examination duty at Christchurch the past week and a half. One more day to go.

Time to cook dinner. Nothing special....CP chicken + ikan bilis sambal + baby kailan. With rice of course.....eating outside too often. Need to cooke regularly again.

Body-aching,
RuDy

PS: Oh ya, going to Agus' place for housewarming cum gathering this Saturday. Had to turn down Azuan for the soccer game. I guess I'll have to play for FJC on Sunday then. hehe.

Youth Day...

First week of term 3 is over. Looooonnnnggg week. Geezzz...still got 9 more weeks of term 3. Today is supposed to be the first day of term 2. But it's Youth Day...so I don't need to go to school either. Last Monday, the AYG torch came to our school. It was a success....though I didn't get to hold the torch. Then there's the 2 ITE students on attachment - Lexson and Suharlika. And then there's Noriah....an NIE attachment. I'm the CT for Noriah. But she's a slacker. She doesn't seem to want to learn much....then again, it's only for 5 weeks.

I was on duty last Wednesday at TP for the final group games of the AYG soccer too. In fact last week was busy. Last Monday afternoon (after the torch relay), I had to go for my N Level Oral briefing. Immediately after that, I had to be on duty at the cultural booth at Swissotel. The AYG cultural booth. My school's hosting Bangladesh so we had a booth promoting Bangladesh's culture and stuff. Tuesday was just doing work. Wednesday, duty at Temasek Poly.

Caught up with my 5 little devils on Friday just before going home, at Causeway Point. As mentioned before, they're growing by leaps and bounds. Not only do I feel short, I feel old too. All 5 of them were there, Weiwen, Eileen, Cheryl, Sandi and Feon.

Went to Ikea with my wife on Saturday.....cost me a bomb. Damage was three hundred over dollars. I bought a shelf and tried drilling it but I think I live in a house made of steel. I couldn't penetrate the bloody wall. Damaging my own wall...sheesshh.... I'm going to Ikea with my mum later on today. I think I'm going to buy a coffee table and get the Ikea guys to come down and do the drilling. Going to cost me a bomb but at least it'll be good.

Played soccer in the rain yesterday. Was raining practically the whole afternoon till night. It's also cloudy this morning. Played at Orchid Park Sec, next to mum's house. We lost badly...5-0. I came late and played only when we were 3-0 down. We let in all the goals in the first half. No goals were conceded in the second half.
Brought sambal prawn home for dinner. hehe.

Anyway, gotta clean the house now. Have not done my vacuuming and mopping for the week. Time to get busy....

RuDy

Transformers - Revenge of the fallen!!!

Woohoo!!! Going to watch Transformers with my wife tonight!!! Great!! Meeting her at Causeway Point soon.

Last Tuesday, we got this premier ticket to watch Transformers at GV Marina (courtesy of my buddy Agus of course). He can't make it so he passed the tix to us. We went there...show supposed to start at 8.45pm. Halfway through....in fact not even halfway, technical malfunction. The show keeps on stopping every now and then. By 9.30pm...the said they can't start the machine no more. They refunded us with complimentary tickets. Sigh...what a waste.

I'm not using the complimentary tickets now. Next time....

Just now I met Wei Wen, Eileen, Feon and Cheryl at Northpoint. They look so different now. Geezzz....all grew like 10cm, except for Wei Wen...maybe 5cm. Eileen's like a head taller than me, Cheryl and Feon are like my height. Shheeessshhh.......all of my students, even my current ones, are growing taller than me. Too bad....I'll stay at 1.71m forever.

Next Monday, I'll be at Swissotel to mend the booth from 1pm to 9pm. Yes that's right...to 9pm. Gary called to tell me I'm taking over from Veronica at 1plus. MEaning I'm leaving school at 12.30pm.

Oh ya, I'm no longer the torch bearer....ya. I let Mr Raqi have his swansong by giving him the honour of holding the torch. Good for him...my only regret...is to not have the opportunity to own the torch......aaaaahhhhh wasted. Never mind....I'm sure there's other opportunities.

And then last Sat, I was on duty at Temasek Poly for the AYG soccer. These 14 year old boys are HUGE. No way can they be 14 year olds. I don't believe some of them. In TP, there were China, Pakistan, Myanmar and South Korea. I think ALL of them are taller than me. Unbelievable.

Ok, better prepare now....to go Causeway Point.

I'm addicted....

I'm addicted to this game at Timezone. It's this UFO game that picks up sweets and then pushes other sweets. It's costing me a bomb. Yesterday itself, spent like $90 just to get a small jackpot...a tiny weeny pillow.

Aiyah, spent $$$ like water. Damn it. This should not be the way.

Played soccer at the Cage last Wednesday night. That's right...night. Never in my life have I started to play soccer at 10pm at night. We played from 10pm to 12midnight. Sheesh....probably once in this lifetime. Jarred my elbow.....was going for a shot, then this bugger came whack my ankle. In order to break fall, I had to support my whole body weight with the right hand. Jarred my elbow then. Thank god nothing serious happened. Still strained now. Can't put too much weight on it. Thought I had dislocated the elbow.....cause there was this "cccrrrkkkk" sound when I fell. Turned out that I sprained my neck cause my neck was aching the next couple of days. Sheesshh.......lesson learnt. Never play soccer at night. haha

Yesterday played for FJC.....sucky game again. Lost 1-0. I have a bunch of lazy players on the field. Loose the ball, don't want to chase. Kanasai.......play like shit some more.

I'm just procrastinating from doing school work. So much work to do just so bloody lazy. Prepare this, prepare that. If I'm gonna do all the preparing, where's my holiday then? Don't know lah. Am I burning out? That's the ultimate question.....I still can't find an answer to this. I mean, being responsible for SOOOO many things. Oh well....

Anyway, going in to JB in a couple of hour's time. I need to get contact lenses.........should be cheaper there. Need to check out the price. LA Lakers have just won the NBA Championships....beating Orlando Magic 4-1.

Regards,

RuDy

Geeeezzz.......it's already June...

6 months of 2009 is gone in the blink of an eye. I feel so bloody old. Don't know why.
I guess I can no longer "hang out" with my students anymore. haha. Makes me feel like a grandfather. I haven't chill out with my buddies for sometime now too. Just too tired.

Feeling so unfit and FAT. Yes fat.....gotta make use of this June break to get back into shape. So far so good. First week has been somewhat productive.

Trips to Vietnam and Cambodia are cancelled....mainly because of the H1N1. Then again, maybe it's for the good. Now I can take a break. Not so much of a long good reak. I still need to go back to school every now and then. Went back yesterday....going back again tomorrow.

Went to Causeway Point to have dinner last night. Then wife and I dropped by Timezone. We played that "sweet dropping games" ....no idea what it's called. Spent about $20 and got the jackpot. Not bad for someone who's playing it for the 3rd time only. hehe. I think I'm getting hooked to it.

Whole body aching now. Went to the gym on Monday...still feeling the pain. I haven't played football for sometime. 2 Saturdays ago was the inter staff competition. And yes we won again...
Then had our 2NT NYAA Camp last Wed - Fri. Tiring...didn't get enough shut eye.

I need to do something very productive this break. Want to do some work, but lazy. Should I book for Shang Ri LA Rasa Sentosa? I have discounts.....hmm....
Any better place to go? Running out of ideas.....

Watch movie? Already caught Terminator:Salvation. Not bad......action pack. So many things to do...so little time. Maybe I should go MacRitchie for a run. Haven't been there in a while. Good idea. I'll ask Ryan or Charles to go. Yup yup. Next week would be good. Next week it is then. Or maybe just walk at tree top walk also ok right? Haven;t been there also.

Ok, time to go watch DVD now....go and search for some old movies. Just too lazy to do anything. hehe.

Lazy,
RuDy

Updates updates....

Beeeezzzeeeee month. Planning the Vietnam trip and all. After 4 bloody months of hard work, and now might need to cancel the trip.....all because of the Influenza A aka Swine Flu, H1N1 virus. What to do....not within my control.

Yes, the world is now under threat. Not as bad as SARS (hopefully will never be as bad). The thing is that this Influenza A can be passed on from one human to another unlike Bird Flu....

Looks like the Vietnam Trip will be cancelled. I'm sure the students will be devastated....furthermore, with the amount of hype that I've built up over the past 4 months. Aarrrggghhhh.....I'm getting frustrated also.

Anyway, mid year exam starts tomorrow. It's going to be a llllooonnnnggg month of June. Marking marking marking for this month. Followed by 2NT NYAA camp end of this month.

Then, Vietnam trip (most likely not now), followed by Cambodia Trip (also on hold now). Then the AYG 17th - 25th June. 29th June term starts....with the Torch Relay starting from my school. Still wondering if I'll be one of the Torch bearers....hehe.

Oh ya, I played 2 consecutive games over the weekend...in fact on Sunday itself. One game at 3pm and another at 5pm. Woah.....cannot take it. I guess I'm not as young as I was....can't play 2 back to back games anymore. haha.

I watched X-Men Origins with my dear over the weekend at CCK Lido too. It wasn't too bad.

Anyway, some stuff to do now before heading home.....going home early. Tired (as usual). My ribs are still sore after Sunday's game. Elbowed by a bloody fool......idiot.

Tired,
RuDy

National X-Country...

Happy? Partially. Why? My boys did well. C Boys came in 16 position in the team events.
B Boys did better...we came in 11th position out of 63. Well done. We did all the other "mainstream" school.......even AI. hehe. The girls lost out though.

Anyway, update later. Things to do now...

Regards,
RuDy

PS: A bit disappointed my boy Guhan didn't come in top 20...too bad he got stitches...just like Ramarao last year....
Pretty sure Guhan was able to do 16 min ++.....sigh...

It has been ages...

Ages since I last blogged.

It's term break (1 week) now. Not much of a break for me. Pretty much seeing students for training or other things every other day. Just had a camp leaders selection yesterday (19/3/09 - 20/3/09). We got 14 through the next round. Hopefully can promote more at the next selection.

Some of them did look disappointed....that's good.

This time last year, I don't think I was that overwhelmed withw ork. This year is like super hectic year. Economy's plunging....no idea when it will reach rock bottom. It's times like this that I'm grateful to be in what I'm doing now.

Went prawning last wekk....for 1 whole bloody hour...caught NOTHING. Damn it....might go again with wife tomorrow.

They're having an Adidas sale at the Expo now. Queue was super duper long this morning. Believe it or not, I was there this morning. But after seeing the queue, decided to go home. Too long lah the queue.....anyway just not in a mood to queue after a sleepless night. Got home at 12.30....knocked out till 4.30. Fantastic feeling. I'm still tired and sleepy.

Thank god no soccer tomorrow. haha.

Anyway, so many things to do over the next couple of days. But I'm so looking forward to next Wednesday...National School X-Country. Let's hope all their hard work will not go to waste this year....really really hope so.

Ya, might be meeting Agus for dinner later since wifey will be home late and his wife will be out tonight too. Been a while since just the 2 of us go out together. Like our good old younger days. How I miss those days when Agus and I just chill out when we were teenagers. After school, play soccer. And he'll ask me to go read comics (which I don't enjoy) and just sitting at Coffee Bean looking at girls...haha. Those were the days. Now, both of us married....but I'm glad we're still the best of friends....

One week down...

First week of school down. Many more to go. Tired. Very tired.
Have things been smooth? Ok I guess. But I've got loads in store for me. From IDEAS, PDS and SWC. On top of my Integrated Curriculum and CCA. Long year ahead. Now they want me to change form teachership also. Headache lah....

Enough said....going to Gombak stadium later. Sending some boys for competition. Just to expose them. At least I'm giving them opportunity right? Something that I didn't get much when I was younger. At least when they look back when they're older, they'll know that opportunity was given to them.

Time to buy breakfast...
